On the Internet, B2B (business to business), also known as e-BIZ, is the exchange of goods, services or information (also known as e-commerce) between businesses, rather than between businesses and consumers.
An example of the traditional B2B market is the automotive industry. Vehicle components, usually manufactured by different companies and car manufacturer purchase these parts independently. Tires, hoses, batteries and electronics can be obtained by individual companies and then sold directly to car manufacturers. The products do not fall into the hands of consumers, though often the end product of the business makes a purchase. Because so many small transactions leading to the sale of a large business-to-consumer, B2B companies tend to be a large amount.
Although B2B is crucial to the success of many industries when considering the potential of your company, do not limit yourself to a single model. B2B, C2B and B2C models should not be mutually exclusive, and combine their strengths can create new opportunities for your business.
