Childhood is probably the best part of anyone’s life, because during this time we enjoy life to the fullest. Children do not know what is sadness, they do not know the harsh realities of time and strive to be happy in their cheerful world.

Children’s day is a special day, which is aimed at celebrating childhood, the most beautiful phase in a person’s life. Universally the children’s day is usually celebrated on June 1, but not regularly. International Children’s Day is held in Geneva, Switzerland, the World Conference for the well being of children.

In India, November 14 is celebrated as the day of the child, on this day is celebrated the birthday of the first prime minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Pt. Nehru was very fond of children, and he often photographed with them, and it may be very appropriate that his birthday be celebrated as a children’s day.

Pt. Nero is seen a special child of India, since he was the first prime minister of the country after a long struggle for freedom and independence. On this day the whole school organizes various entertainments for children. Communities and cultural clubs also organize various activities for children. On this day, various kinds of competitions are held, and awards are distributed to the winners. This is one day of the year, when we not only celebrate our childhood, but also remember one of the most famous leaders in the history of India. Almost all schools have one or other activities organized on this day, and this is one day that children expect.

Children’s Day is celebrated on different days in different countries of the world. Japan celebrated children’s day on May 5, and today it is known as Kodomo no hi, in Israel, it is celebrated on October 9 and in Hong Kong on April 4.

Children all over the world are looking forward to the day when the country celebrates a children’s day, as this is the most important one day they can enjoy and celebrate the joy of childhood.
