Chimera (or sometimes spelled as Chimaera) was a monstrous beast that breathed fire in Greek mythology. There are many descriptions of how the creature looks, but in most descriptions it is part goat, lion and snake (sometimes even a dragon). Chimera is the youngest daughter of Echidna and Typhon. Its brothers and sisters include other well-known Greek monsters such as Cerberus, the Sphinx and the Ladon. Chimera has a lion’s head on the middle of the goat, and hindquarters of dragon.
