Have you ever wondered about Christmas? Since the first time I realized that there really was a Santa Claus, you questioned other aspects of this amazing holiday? Have you ever wondered where Christmas come from? Why is the tree? Where did the idea of Santa Claus originate? Why this day is celebrated on December 25? With all of these symbols and holidays really mean? What is the prospect of God to these things? If you have been surprised when I first discovered the truth about Santa Claus, you will be more surprised than the rest of the story.
Christmas is not a Christian!
As shocking as it sounds, there is nothing Christian about Christmas. It is the people who created the word “Christmas” from “Mass of Christ.” Thus, in Christ’s name came to be associated with this holiday and millions have come to the conclusion that the Christian observance. The truth is that this festival with the same symbols and ceremonies practices for many centuries before Jesus was ever born.
The celebration of Christmas is not covered in the days of the apostles or the early New Testament church. Consider the words of Encyclopedia Americana, 1944 edition, which states:
Christmas was according to many authorities, not celebrated in the first centuries of the Christian church, since the Christian usage in general was to celebrate the death of remarkable persons rather than their birth.
