Have you noticed the important role played by the candles in the church? There are many special services that use candles and they play an important role in this occasion. Candles at home can certainly be good, but in the church, they have a deeper meaning and symbolism. Furthermore, most church candles contain at least a certain percentage of beeswax.
As churches have used special candles throughout history, there are certain characteristics of the kind of what type of candle is expected to be used. Depending on religion or belief, some candles used must contain a minimum percentage of beeswax. For example, at one point the Catholic Church requires that all the candles in the church they are made of one hundred percent wax. Several reasons for this is the symbolism of beeswax, as well as the fact that beeswax candles don’t produce smoke, which can destroy the paintings and works of art that were found in the church.
Christmas is a time when many churches seem to include even more candles. Many churches hold Christmas Eve or Christmas morning service. During the service, each person present in the community gets their own small candle, which lights up when the lights are turned off in the building and can be seen only candles burning from the congregation, at that there is a very nice view to see that day.
