In Islam, there are two major holidays, one of which is Eid Al Fitr. In some countries, they are also called Idul Fitri or Eidul Fitr. It begins on the first day of Shawwal, which is the tenth month in the Hijri calendar. During this three-day festival, Muslims celebrate the end of Ramadan.
This is a day of thanksgiving to Allah, which gave the opportunity to Muslims to enjoy the blessings of Ramadan.
The ceremony begins early in the morning with worship. This usually happens in a large open area where hundreds of Muslims can gather. After the prayer, a brief sermon is delivered, and then the people greet each other.

The rest of the ceremonies are held privately: people invite and visit each other. Each family kills a lamb or a goat and share a meal with family, friends and the poor members of their community.
Children receive gifts, some money and new clothes.
If you plan to travel during Eid al Fitr, keep in mind that these days are official holidays in Muslim countries, therefore government offices and banks are closed. Public transport services may also be limited.
Sites for tourists are usually open, but can vary from one country to another. Shops and markets are open as usual, in fact, this is a very busy time for retailers, particularly those who are selling clothes and sweets.
Eid Al Fitr is also a school holiday, so resorts are usually crowded with families, and hotel prices tend to skyrocket this time of the year.
