Fork is a tool consisting of a handle with several narrow legs at one end. Today, forks are increasingly available across Asia. Most often metal utensil for lifting food to the mouth, or to hold ingredients in place while they are being cut by a knife. Thomas Coryate, who brought the fork in England in 1608.
Spain and Italy were the first countries to adopt the fork for use on the table to eat, and not just to serve the court. It was in the 16th century. This will be a hundred years before the French decided to use a fork on the table.
It’s against the law to eat chicken with a fork in Gainesville, Georgia, in the “Chicken Capital of the World.”
