A fried egg or “sunny side up egg” is a cooked dish made from one or more eggs that are removed from the shell and placed in a pan, usually without breaking the yolk, and fried with minimal accompaniment.

Fry your eggs and lower your blood pressure: a study by the University of Alberta in Canada found that frying your eggs could be a healthy option. Scientists believe that when the eggs are friends, the intense heat from the pan causes more ACE-inhibiting peptides to be released into the body. ACE inhibitor peptides (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme) work by dilating blood vessels, which lowers your blood pressure and, ultimately, reduces the risk of developing heart disease. The main thing is to have your blood pressure checked regularly. ACE inhibitors (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors) are also used to treat patients with hypertension, often being pharmaceuticals chosen for treatment.

Can strength training help men lower cholesterol, and do you really need supplements to lower it further? A recent study reported that strength training helps men lower their cholesterol levels without the need for protein supplementation. The report by Dr. Carol A. DeNysschen, published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports, studied twenty-eight men who had high cholesterol levels. The groups were tested at random.

The men were randomly assigned to three groups and did strength training three days a week for 12 weeks. The three groups of men received different “supplements”; one soy group, one whey group, and the other group received a placebo. The study concluded that men in all three groups gained strength, lost fat, and showed reductions in cholesterol levels. It also said that supplementation and strength training actually made no real difference in the percentage of body fat or the cholesterol level of men. However, Dr. DeNysschen suggested that more studies should be done on soy protein supplements to see if men at risk for heart disease would benefit from this type, more than whey supplementation, as they could be healthier for the heart.
