German shepherd dogs can stand up to 26 inches in the shoulder and, when looked at in general terms, depict smooth, graceful curves, rather than angles. A natural gait is a free and light trot, but they can turn it a tip or two and achieve high speeds.

There are many reasons why German shepherds are at the forefront of rather than angles. Still, experts say that their determining attribute is character: loyalty, courage, confidence, the ability to learn in multi-tasking teams, and the desire to put their life on the line in defense of loved ones. The German Shepherd occupied many jobs, in addition to being a movie star – leading the blind, chasing criminals, strangling illegal substances, serving in the army, visiting sick and herding stock.

The dog even took on the role of a national hero. German shepherds were searched and rescue dogs crawling through the ruins of the World Trade Center after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, in search of survivors and the comfort of rescuers and families.

A German shepherd can embody some of the best features of dogs, but they are not for everyone. Initially bred by herds all day, this is a high-energy dog ​​that needs a lot of activity and exercise. Without this, they are more likely to express their boredom and powerlessness in ways they don’t like, such as barking and chewing.

The breed also has a strange and sometimes suspicious nature – great for a watchdog, but not one of those pet dogs that will make guests feel welcome. However, if you expose the German Shepherd to many different situations and people who are starting to breed, they can learn to accept new people and circumstances on the go.
