Gorillas are the largest primates. Male Gorilla usually weigh about 200 kg (440lb), although in captivity obese gorillas weighed more than that. Female weighs about twice. Gorillas, of course, are not aggressive toward humans, although they will certainly defend themselves from any proposed attacks.
Gorillas are mainly herbivorous, eating leaves, shoots and fruits. They are better able to digest the fibrous products than in humans and other primates. Although these are their main food, they also eat insects. They will eat termites in the same way as it is the same way as chimpanzees and bonobos.
Gorillas live in groups. These groups are led by a mature male. These males are called Silverbacks, because when they reach full maturity of about 12 years, they will get a silver patch hair on their back.
