The hexagon is a flat shape, all in one place, on all six sides with equal length. Each of the six angles are measured at 120 degrees, so that the total internal angle of 720 degrees measured hexagons (120 multiplied by 6). The hexagon may be cut into six equilateral triangle, all the same size.
The perimeter of the hexagon is the sum of the lengths of all sides. All sides are of equal length, so that one and the same as the length of one side is six times.
The area of the hexagon is the same as the area of all six equilateral triangle folded (or equilateral triangle, multiplied by six).
One place that hexagons occur naturally in ice water, the water molecules (two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom) always freeze together in the form of a hexagon.
