John Deere was born in February 1804 a blacksmith by profession, Deere determined that the wood and the iron plow in use at the moment is ill-suited for the problems caused by soil prairies, so that after a series of experiments, he made a new type of plow and sold his first one in 1838. By 2012, the company’s value had risen to more than $40 billion. Deere died on May 17, 1886.
