Finding Nemo is a 2003 American computer-animated adventure movie produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The script was directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Lee Unkrich, and written by Bob Peterson, David Reynolds, and Stanton from the story of Stanton. The movie stars the voices of Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Alexander Gould, and Willem Dafoe.

It tells the story of an overprotected clownfish named Marlin, along with a regal blue tang named Dory, looking for his missing son Nemo. Along the way, Marlin learns to take risks and agrees that Nemo will take care of himself.

Finding Nemo, released on May 30, 2003, received the Academy Award for the Best Animated Feature. It was also nominated in three more categories, including Best Original Screenplay. Finding Nemo was the highest-selling animated movie of the time, the second highest-selling movie of 2003, and earned a total of $867 million worldwide by the end of its first theater performance.

The movie was the best-selling DVD title in history, with over 40 million copies sold in 2006, and the highest-selling G-rated movie ever before Pixar’s own Toy Story 3 overtook it. The movie was re-released in 3D in 2012. In 2008, the American Film Institute named the 10th awesome animated movie ever made as part of a list of 10 top ten. In a 2016 international critic poll conducted by the BBC, Finding Nemo was named one of the 100 Best Movies Since 2000. The sequel Finding Dory was released in the United States on June 17, 2016.
