Every November a perfectly ordinary people take a bold challenge Movember: growing a mustache for charity in order to raise awareness for men’s health – prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems such as depression. Movember is a global movement.

It began in Melbourne, Australia, 10 years ago, when a group of friends decided to revive the old-fashioned trend of mustache. According to the Movember Foundation, an NGO that raised nearly $21 million in 2013.

What is not No-Shave November?

November No Shave is another organization that encourages people to donate what they could spend on hair to the American Cancer Society.

Instead of being “all about the mustache” This group is a little more that’s coming. Participants can grow a mustache and beard, but it also encourages women to skip shaving their legs.

No-Shave November was founded on Facebook in 2009, but last year it began a partnership with the American Cancer Society.
