Olive oil comes from Olea Europaea tree. This tree is found mainly in the basin of the Mediterranean Sea, Asia, and Africa. It grows about 26-49 feet, has a twisted trunk, small white flowers, and silvery-green oblong leaves. It has an extensive root system.

If the olive oil shows a lighter, yellowish hue, it probably pressed out of low-quality olives.
