Olympic symbols (the Olympic rings), an anthem, flag, an oath, a medal, a fire, and represent five participating continents Africa, Asia, America, Australia and Europe.

They are intertwined to show the universality of Olympism and the meeting of athletes in the world during the Olympic Games. Olympic flag rings appears on white background. Today, the Olympic symbol is subject to very strict rules. The use of the Olympic symbol in the creation of the emblem is also strictly regulated, and the design of the emblem must be approved by the IOC. The Olympic symbol, flag and logos are the exclusive property of the International Olympic Committee and can not be used for commercial purposes without the written permission of the IOC’s authorisation.
