Retail involves the sale of goods from one point (shopping centers, markets, department stores, etc.) directly to the consumer in small quantities to end-use. In layman’s language, the retail trade is not other than the trade in goods between the seller and the end user as one (part) or in small quantities to meet the needs of the person and his immediate consumption.
In general, retailers are not producing products that are sold. There are some exceptions to this rule, of course, but, as a rule, the retailer is only the last link in the supply chain, which gets the product to the customer. The difference between the retail and wholesale trade is that while retailers sell directly to consumers, wholesalers to sell their products to other companies.
Retailers also offer services that make it a less risky and more fun to buy products. They have at the hands of the sellers, who can answer questions and can offer credit and display products so that consumers know what is available and can see it before you buy. In addition, retailers can provide many additional services, personal shopping gift wrapping on delivery, which increase the cost of products and services to consumers.
Retail is the backbone of the economy of many countries, and retailers are those that help connect consumers with the products they want and need.
