The preservation of water sounds like something that should be supported by environmentalists and politicians. Saving water does several things. It just makes a good economic sense. The less water you consume, the more money you save each month. This may seem pretty obvious, but there are some who believe that water should be a waste because it is relatively inexpensive to use. Compared to gasoline, this may be true, but this does not mean that you should not strive to be as economical as possible with the resource. The consumer can save money by using water wisely.

Shower Bucket: Instead of allowing the water to pour into the drain, stick the bucket under the tap, and wait to fill the shower water. You can use water to flush the toilet or water your plants.

Check the toilets for leaks: Put a little food color in the toilet. If without flushing, the color begins to appear in the bowl for 30 minutes, you have a leak that must be repaired immediately. Most spare parts are inexpensive and easy to install.

Do not use the toilet as an ashtray or a waste-basket: Whenever the flush the cigarette butt, facial tissues or other small baskets have lost five to seven liters of water.

Check faucets and pipes for leaks: A small drop from the worn faucet washer can throw 20 liters of water a day. Large leaks can pour hundreds of gallons.

Flush with less: Old toilets use a lot of water. You can reduce its use by dipping half a gallon of water jug ‚Äč‚Äčinto the toilet.

Use less electricity: Power plants uses thousands of gallons of water to cool. Take part to save energy, but also indirectly you are saving water!

Turn off the water tap after you wet the toothbrush: No need of water during brushing. Just wet the brush and fill the glass for mouth wash.
