Slovakia flag consists of three equal-sized horizontal stripes. The upper stripe is white, the medium is blue and the lower is a red stripe. Towards the left side of Slovak flag is the emblem of the country, which is set in white. The coat of arms has a white patriarchal double cross on a red ground with a blue triple mountain.
Emblem flag represents past relationship with Slovakia, Hungary, and it is a modified version of the Hungarian coat of arms. Cross Hands “is Orthodox and mountains symbolize Tatras, Fatra and Matra mountain regions throughout the country. Blue, red and white are traditional Slavic colors and together they make the Pan-Slavic colors. They were originally adopted by Slavic peoples in the mid-19th century, they were under the influence by the Russian flag, which is an independent Slavic country at the moment. Now the colors stand for Slavic unity and independence, and they can be seen in the flags of most of the Slavic peoples.
