Announced late in the summer of 1997, South Park has embroiled American pop culture in a storm with no-holds-barred examination of social and political issues, and vague but unique branded cartoon humour. South Park, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, is the lynchpin of the original programming of the Comedy Central cable network. Focusing on the lives of a few kids in Colorado’s small town of South Park (a strange and paranormal-prone place), the series appears in a crude cartoon form, but the concept works, Play endless witty broadcasts in well-written sentences, timely lines and an endless array of politically wrong humour.

Love it or hate it, South Park is a truly original animated series with plot twists and comic reliefs over plot walls. If you like oddball humour, this is a show for you.

South Park mainly consists of four elementary school students-Cartman (who’s overweight and sarcastic), Kyle (dreaming of eliminating his younger brother Ike), Stan (who throws up at the sight of a girl he likes) Kenny (who manages to get killed in every episode).

All four attended South Park Elementary School, a third-grade teacher, Mr. Garrison, trained using a hand puppet named “Mr. Hat”, and cafeteria employee “Chef” McElroy (Isaac Hayes) regularly. Gives advice while periodically breaking into 70’s song about love for women. South Park is a weird scene with many alien visitors, monsters with celery hands and leg of Patrick Duffy, and Big Gay Al’s Big Gay Boat Ride. South Park also has celebrities who have their own access shows to the cable, including the Devil, Saddam Hussein, Antichrist, Kathy Lee Gifford, Scott Baio, Tina Yothers, Elton John, and Jesus Christ – who has his own cable access show.
