NASA has a lot of scientists who are working on plans to explore more of our universe in the near future. With many achievements in the mission to the International Space Station, they had learned a lot from the different development of the space and the mysteries it holds. There are so many secrets that have not yet been identified and NASA are trying their best to come up with new ideas.
The solar system is about 4.6 billion years old. Scientist estimate that it is likely to continue for another 5 billion years.
Ancient astronomers believed that once the earth was at the center of the universe, but we now know that the Sun is the center of our solar system and our planet in an orbit of the Sun. The Sun is 99.8% of the total mass of the entire solar system. One million Earth’s would be the same size as the Sun.
Another change in the human body in microgravity, the backbone to stand up, gravity does not push you. In fact, you could be up to as much as 5 centimetres taller in the Space Station.
The hottest planet in our solar system is Venus. Most people often think that it would be Mercury, which is the closest planet to the Sun. This is because Venus has many gases into the atmosphere, causing the “greenhouse effect.”
Space officially begins in the universal marker Karman line. This invisible boundary of 100 km above the Earth. Theoretically, if you can drive your car upwards, you can be in the space of less than an hour.
