Giga Bowser is a character of the Gamecube game Super Smash Bros Melee. He is quite similar to a normal Bowser, except being around three times the size and looks much more menacing. The Giga Bowser moves in much the same way as a regular Bowser, not only doing more damage, but also a much wider range (due to its larger size).

In Super Smash Bros Melee, Giga Bowser can face two different times. The first of these is adventure mode. To do this, you need to go through adventure mode on normal difficulty or higher and reach the final level (fight with regular Bowser) within 18 minutes. You can do this with any character (including secret characters), but you can’t use continue at any time (you can lose your life, but you can’t reach the “game over” screen). After defeating Bowser (again, without using continuation), you will see his trophy transform. The tricky part-it’s the last fight. If you can beat him, you will be rewarded with his trophy. Note that this is one of the hardest to get in the game, not a small achievement. You may challenge many times in battle alone, but don’t give-just trying to learn his patterns and movements, success will not be far off.

Super Smash Bros. Melee Giga Bowser can also fight in event mode. After clearing all 50 first events, the special event (Event 51) becomes unlocked. At this event, you will have to fight Giga Bowser, Mewtwo, and Ganondorf with three different stocks (live) at the Final Destination level. This is the hardest event of all of them, because you also just start the level with three stocks and have no place to hide.

Sadly, Bowser is not a playable character and you can only fight him at two points in the game. However, in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo Wii), he is a semi-playable character. While playing as a regular Bowser during a match, if you can unleash the movement of “Final Smash”, you will be transformed into Giga Bowser for a small length of time.
