CChloë Grace Moretz was born on February 10, 1997, in Atlanta. She grew up in an ordinary family, which members were far from show showbiz. Her mother was a nurse, and her father was a surgeon. After graduation, the girl was enrolled in an art school, where she was taught to sing and perform. Her family was very supportive and helpful whenever they could. Her first part in the first serious project was in the film which was named ‘The Guardian’.

Moretz publicly supported LGBT equality. She considers herself a feminist and has turned down film roles which she believes are overtly sexualised. She took on the role of a teenage prostitute in the 2014 “The Equalizer” movie because her character “felt so real,” and not just a “plot device.” In October 2014, Moretz was named one of the 25 most influential teenagers of the year by Time magazine.

In 2016, Moretz publicly announced her support for Democrats, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in the Korean show The Brainiacs/Problematic Men.
