Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro GOIH ComM (born 5 February 1985) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Serie A Juventus and leads the Portugal national team. Often considered the best player in the world and widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. Born and raised on the Portuguese island of Madeira, Ronaldo was diagnosed with a racing heart at the age of 15. He underwent an operation to maintain his fitness and began his senior club career playing for Sporting CP before signing with Manchester United at the age of 18. After winning his first prize in the FA Cup in England during his first season, he helped United win three consecutive Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League title and the FIFA Club World Cup.
