Grampy is one of the Seven Dwarfs in Disney’s 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

For the first time, Grumpy first met his six companions at the Dwarfs’ Mine He, Bashful, Sneezy and Happy dig to find diamonds from tunnels. The diamonds are taken by Sleepy to Doc, from which the worthless diamonds for Dopey to sweep away. Doc is the first to hear the alarm and warns other dwarves that it’s time to return home.

Grumpy has a extreme distrust for women at the beginning of the film, believing that they have black magic and evil intentions (or “wicked wiles,” as he called them). Perhaps he believed in this, listening to stories about the evil Queen. Because of his fear, Grumpy initially opposes the decision of other dwarves to allow Snow White to stay with them.
