The car brand Koenigsegg is still relatively young. The project was officially launched in 1993. The creator of the brand was Christian von Koenigsegg, who intended to create a real dream car. The concept of the future machine was based on Formula One technology. Can it be surprisung that Koenigsegg has become one of the fastest streetcars in the world?

Koenigsegg built its prototype car in 1994, just one and a half years after it was founded. The world-famous pilots tested this model and were all surprised by its incredible performance. Among them, Picko Troberg, Calle Rosenblad and Rickard Rydell. As Picko said, the new car would be the king of speed.

In 1997, the company created the Koenigsegg CC prototype. The car was shown at the Cannes festival and was very successful. The new star is coming out in the automotive world. The CC silver production prototype received a lot of attention when presented at the Paris Motor Show. Articles on this subject have been published in most global automotive magazines.

The first personalized Koenigsegg CC, named CC 8S, was assembled and handed over to its proud owner at the Geneva Motor Show in March. This red car was also tested by Koenigsegg test drivers on race tracks and roads, for more refinement and driving.

In 2003, Koenigsegg vehicles established the Guinness World Record as the most potent streetcars. Meanwhile, the company’s engineers were working on improving CC. New design and look ideas have been implemented on the 2003 CC 8S model.

The new Koenigsegg CCR was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2004. This splendid car had 806 horsepower and could reach a too high speed. On February 28, 2005, the CCR broke the speed record for road cars, getting a new official top speed of 388 (387.87) km/h at Nardo Prototipo’s Italian testing ground.
