Lee Tae-min (born July 18, 1993) is known by the single name Taemin, is a Korean singer, actor, dancer and songwriter. He debuted as a vocalist with the group Shinee in May 2008 at the age of 14 and has since become one of Korea’s best-selling artists. He began his acting career in 2009 with MBC comedy Tae-Hee, Hye-Kyo, and Ji-Hyun as Junsu. He is also a member of SM Entertainment, a supergroup of SM entertainment, SuperM.

Taemin started his solo career in 2014 with his first extension play, Ace. Number one on the Gaon album chart in South Korea and title track number five on the Gaon Weekly Digital Chart. His first studio album, Press It (2016), topped the Gaon album chart. The title song “Press Your Number” was initially composed by Bruno Mars, but Taemin wrote new lyrics to appeal to the Korean market. In July 2016, Taemin released his second extended drama, “Solitary Goodbye” and made his solo debut in Japan.

In 2017, Taemin released their second full Korean album, Move. The title track got a lot of attention thanks to its unique choreography. Move-ing, the repackaged album, continued on December 10, 2017, with his song, “Day and Night”. In 2018, Taemin released his first full Japanese album, Taemin. This was at the same time as the first hall tour in Japan. In February 2019, Taemin released the second Korean mini-album, “Want”. The title track has the same name.

Lee Taemin was born on July 18, 1993. Taemin dreamed of growing up and becoming a pilot until he discovered dance in sixth grade. As a child, he saw one of the world’s greatest artists, the “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson. Taemin looked at him from a different perspective and respected him for many aspects of his performance. It was Michael Jackson’s reason that Taemin decided to become a dancer. In 2008, Taemin was chosen to debut as a member of Shinee at the age of 14. The group officially debuted on May 25, 2008, in SBS’s Inkigayo program. In addition to his work as a singer, Taemin made his acting debut as a Junsu in the MBC comedy “Tae Hee, Hye Kyo, Ji Hyun” in 2009. A few years later, in January 2012, Taemin entered the narration field for the first time and joined the protagonist as the voice actor of the Korean anime movie “Outback”, the protagonist Johnny a white koala turned hero, along with fellow labelmate, Girls’ Generation’s Sunny.
