Wanda Maximoff come from Eastern European country of Sokovia, grew up with her twin brother, Pietro. In an effort to help clean up purge their country of strife, the twins agreed to pass the Scepter of experiments under the supervision of HYDRA cell Wolfgang von Strucker and reached the superpowers as a result, to achieve a variety of Wanda telekinesis, telepathy and power handling capabilities.

When HYDRA fell twins joined Ultron robot to get their revenge on Tony Stark, but eventually switched sides and joined the Avengers when they discovered the true intentions about Ultron. However, Pietro, was killed during a later ensuing Ultron Offensive, Wanda survived and became a member of the Avengers. During the Civil War Avenger, she sided with the Captain America and was briefly jailed in the Raft.

Scarlet Witch character is portrayed by American actress Scarlet Witch born February 16, 1989, Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California, United States to father David Olsen and to mother Jarnett Olsen.
