Tetsuya Naito is a Japanese professional wrestler who signed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, where he is the current IWGP heavyweight champion in his second reign and the IWGP Intercontinental champion in his fifth reign. He is also the leader of the Los Ingobernables de Japon faction.

Naito began training professional wrestling in 2000. He first joined NJPW in 2004 under Animal Hamaguchi, where he received further training. Naito is a former NEVER Openweight Champion and the only wrestler to hold these three titles. In doing so, he became the first triple crown champion at NJPW. In addition, he held the IWGP Tag Team and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship with former partner Yujiro Takahashi, and formed the team as No Limit. Naito has been the two winners of the NJPW Premier Single Tournament, having won it in 2013 and 2017, the G1 Climax, and the 2016 New Japan Cup. In 2016 and 2017, Tokyo Sports named Naito the wrestler of the year.

On November 3, 2005, Tetsuya passed a public audition held by NJPW at Korakuen Hall, graduated from the dojo, and earning a spot on the promotion’s roster. After six months of further training, Naito debuted on May 27, 2006 and lost to Takashi Uwano. He won his first victory over Mitsuhide Hirasawa on October 29. In 2007, Naito took part in the 2007 Best of Super Juniors tournament, replacing wrestlers who could not compete due to injury. Tetsuya finished last in Block B, defeating Gedo and El Samurai, earning four points and losing the other four matches in the block.

In February 2008, Naito formed a tag team named “No Limit” with fellow rookie Yujiro Takahashi. In March, the two went to a 15-minute time draw with former IWGP junior heavyweight tag team championship teams (Koji Kanemoto, Wataru Inoue, Minoru, Prince Devitt, etc.), and Yuujiro pinned veteran Super Strong Machine in a trios match. All of this led to the Duo’s Junior Tag Title Challenge and faced Juicin Thunderliger and Akira, the stables of Machine Legend. Yujiro later joined the ongoing feud between New Japan and Pro Wrestling Zero1 and teamed up with Koji Kanemoto and Manabu Nakanishi in two tag team matches, with Masato Tanaka and Takaiwa of the former being Zero1 The latter lost to the master and defeated Takao Omori and Osamu Namiguchi.
