A stylish, elegant, sexy, streamlined and fast demon – are all the words used to describe sports cars that are essentially two-doors cars designed for high speeds, superb power and stunning looks. The production of a modern sports car began only after 1945, when the economy began to thrive, technology developed dramatically and roads were being improved. They come in many forms, such as a convertible, roadsters, coupe, majestic tourists and sedans. Fans of sports cars are either dedicated to the timeless classics that have been prepared for the current time, or it’s trendsetters to look for the newest exotic type of car.

Different brands of sports cars adopt different design principles. Some cars can be light to achieve higher acceleration, while others can boast extremely powerful engines for better vehicle handling and efficiency, while others can emphasize safety and comfort rather than style. Most modern sports cars are equipped with a front-wheel drive, unlike the rear wheels, which is more common in sports cars of an earlier generation. Many cars also have an engine in the center that controls the rear wheels, which is unique for sports cars. In these cars, the engine is placed behind the driver in the middle of the chassis. Porsche is the only sports car with a rear engine that controls the rear wheels. This aspect is an important part of the car’s design, as it affects maneuverability or driving, which is critical at high speeds.

Today the most famous sports car brands are Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, Lotus, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, etc.

Companies that manufacture other cars also create sports models and those brands are; Ford, Toyota, Honda, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Nissan. Today, the design and production of sports cars are becoming more and more specialized and competitive, with newer, more attractive designs and a higher degree of technical sophistication is being utilized.
