There are different forms of artistic representation, and very few can match that of musicals. Very often we get bored watching a play with monologues and loads of dramas. Now, who hasn’t heard of Beauty and the Beast while growing up? It is one of the most popular stories for children and is loved by everyone. It told us the story of a merchant and his three daughters, two of whom were extremely selfish and rude while the third, Beauty was kind at heart and found happiness in little things. Even when her father leaves for work, she only tells him to receive a rose when his returns while the sisters ask for jewelry.

Once the merchant leaves his house, he finds himself in a house with a beast. When her father returns, Beauty goes to the house and meets the Beast, and after several marriage proposals from him, she still refuses. She only realizes her love for him when she comes home and sees him fall. Now he will be her prince charming and will they live happily ever after, that’s what makes up the rest of the story.

There is also another version of Beauty and the Beast, where most of the role of Beast is changed. While the original claims that the Beast was formed because it did not help a woman when she needed it, while the other claims that it was transformed into a beast by an evil fairy who seduced him in the form of a queen.

Even though there are two versions, both are really fun to watch and read. In addition, there have been many adaptations to the story. From TV shows to plays to feature films, the story of Beauty and the Beast has been everywhere. In fact, Disney plans to release a movie about it in 2017. We are sure that this movie will have an incredible response as kids love watching movies based on their favorite storybooks. This year also saw the release of Cinderella, a book-based film starring actors like Cate Blanchett and Richard Madden.
