Lovebirds are active, cheerful and beautiful creatures. These small parrots are very interesting! Lovebirds come from drier areas of Africa. Since they came from very difficult conditions, they are very suitable for captivity. Not only do they have a good attitude, these charming, brightly colored little pets are very hardy and easy to care for.

Lovebirds are native to the forests and savannas of Sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar. The remains of the ancient species of lovebirds have been found in South Africa, dating back as far as 1.9 million years ago.
