Broly is a character from the popular anime and manga series, Dragon Ball. He is known as the “Legendary Super Saiyan” due to his immense power and strength, which surpasses that of typical Saiyans.

Broly’s character was introduced in the 1993 film, Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan. From then on, he has become a fan favorite and has made several appearances in different Dragon Ball series and movies.

Background

Broly was born with an incredible amount of power, which made him stand out among the other Saiyan babies. Due to this, King Vegeta, the king of the Saiyans, saw him as a potential threat to his own son, Prince Vegeta, and ordered for him to be executed along with his father, Paragus.

However, Paragus managed to save both himself and Broly by launching a space pod. They ended up on a distant planet called Vampa, where they lived for years. Paragus used special technology to control Broly’s immense power, as he feared that he might turn on him at some point.

Appearance

Like all Saiyans, Broly has black spiky hair and a muscular build. He wears gold and green armor with a red belt, which is the typical attire for Saiyans. In his Legendary Super Saiyan form, his hair turns yellow and he grows even larger in size.

Personality

Broly is portrayed as a silent and violent character, due to his traumatic past. He has a deep-seated hatred towards Goku, as he was the one who made him go berserk as a child and forced him and his father to live on Vampa. Broly also does not trust anyone, except for his father, Paragus.

Power and Abilities

Broly is one of the strongest characters in the Dragon Ball universe. In his base form, he is able to take on multiple opponents at once and defeat them single-handedly. In his Legendary Super Saiyan form, he becomes even more powerful, with his power level increasing significantly.
